Ellwood Thompson's boasts Richmond's largest selection of local produce, three to four times that of other area stores, so fruits and vegetables are always fresh and flavorful. The store's dairy case is stocked with local, free-range eggs, exclusively.

A state map hangs above the produce section to identify local family farms that grow Ellwood's produce, most within 100 miles of the store. The store also works with local ranchers, artisan cheese makers and bakeries.
