An episiotomy is an incision made in the tissue between the vagina and anus (perineum) during childbirth, just before the baby's head is delivered. An episiotomy may be done to help deliver the baby or to help prevent the muscles and skin from tearing.

This gentle blend of herbs are prepared in a tea bag for an easy way to perform an herbal sitz bath. Most herbal sitz baths allow the herbs to be free roaming in the water, I prepare the herbs in a tea bag for ease and convienent clean up. The easier the clean up the more likely you will want to follow your doctors instructions and perform a sitz bath.

Herbs in this remedy will not harm skin or open wounds. They will help heal the wound and will decrease risk of infection. They will also reduce itch and will help soothe sore vaginal tissue. Herbs also offer a comforting aroma and will help ease the pain away.

Simply prepare the tea bag in a tea pot as you would be making yourself a cup of tea and add the tea to your sitz bath, tea bag and all. Allow it to steep and emerge your body accordingly. This blend will come with full directions on how to prepare a sitz bath.

You may also take as an internal tea. Herbs are safe to consume if you are breastfeeding.

If an infection is present you may want to consider adding Colloidal Silver or Tea Tree Oil to the sitz bath. Please see my product "Colloidal Silver-Homemade" here at Local Harvest for more information.

This has recently become on of my best sellers and have decided to add it to my female health line of remedies.
