We love sheep; are surrounded by sheep. Sheep are wonderful reminders to slow down and enjoy the warm sun on our faces, meadow flowers in bloom and soft cushions of green grass under our feet.
We have a small flock of heritage breed sheep for hand spinning, fiber crafts and lots of entertainment...usually ;-). Our Jacob, Cotswold, Border Cheviot and silly crossbred sheep provide beautiful wool fleeces, roving, quilt batting and finished goods such as wool sheep sculptures and handspun yarn and are the inspiration for our hand painted folk art Christmas cards.
We are happy to have you out to meet Ewen McTeagle, Woolliam, Miss Ewenice, Boudreaux the Biter, Buddy, Little Miss Sunshine and the rest of the gang. Please email to set up an appointment. We are also in the process of planning a open farm day this spring. Stay tuned!
Six Sheep A-Skating - Equinox Farm
While Boudreaux the Biter is frequently on thin ice around here, the sheep were excited that the ice was finally thick enough to start a game of "crack the whip". Woolliam knows he's not supposed to lose his mittens, so he's happy they're on a safety string. Petunia's taken a little spill, but Sunshine is hanging in with the big kids just fine. Iris and Miss Tilly try to keep order out there and the cats think the beehive is a perfect spot to watch the action.
