This growing 5-acre Permaculture farm and market seeks to be a little bit of everything for the avid gastronomer and the casual foodie alike. Owners, Joan and Dave Donnay, envision Essence on Main and Essence Farms as a place to share the principles of local, organic, and gourmet with the community. They have lined the shelves with a variety of local products that encourage a lifestyle of sustainability. Essence on Main provides freshly prepared deli salads in containers that are 100% compostable and shopping bags that are easily reusable. Essence Farms is increasing and diversifying its production of fruit, nuts, herbs, vegetables and other farm products. You can find the farm products for sale in the store as well as in the deli dishes they produce. The organic goods sold are an opportunity to purchase items that leave a smaller footprint on the environment because of a lack of chemicals and other harmful ingredients in the fabrication process.
