Annual Farm Tour
Caney Branch Farm is an Animal Welfare Approved farm, producing naturally grown, hormone and antibiotic free grass-fed meat, fiber and eggs. We raise heritage breeds of Belted Galloway cattle, Icelandic sheep, chickens, ducks, turkeys and geese. We also maintain a small apiary and sell honey from our chemical-free beehives.
Caney Branch Farm was awarded the Florida Innovative Farmers of the Year award in 2011. It is home to the southernmost flock of Icelandic sheep in the world, from which we produce high-quality wool and fiber for knitting, felting and hand spinning. Icelandic lamb meat has been rated the number one lamb meat in the world.
Goods for sale will include: chicken and duck eggs, Icelandic yarn and roving, meat lambs, beeswax candles, honey, turkeys, breeding stock, cow hides and other hand-crafted items.
Directions: From Tallahassee, head south on Capital Circle SE from Apalachee Parkway. Turn left (east) onto Tram Rd (CR 259). Travel 11.4 miles and turn left onto Cody Church Rd. We are the first driveway on the left. A farm sign is out front.
