Hand Milled Soap Class
Re-batching, also known as hand-milling, is a skill that is fundamental to all soap makers for many reasons. Regardless of expertise, sometimes a batch of soap just doesn't turn out the way you had planned. By using the re-batching method, you can recycle the batch instead of having to discard it. This method is also vital when you are working with expensive essential oils and fats that you don't want altered during the saponification process. And best of all, it allows for creativity! In the class we will discuss the fundamentals of re-batching, from shredding the soap to molding, and everything in between. The class will be approximately 3 hours and will include all needed materials. Each participant will receive a sample bar of hand-milled soap courtesy of Holden Creek Farms. I look forward to meeting and sharing my knowledge with you!
