Farmers' Market at Poplar Grove

The Farmers' Market at Poplar Grove is held each Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, April thru the day before Thanksgiving on the grounds of historic Poplar Grove Plantation. Featuring all local products such as seafood, goat cheese, farm-raised beef, in-season fresh vegetables and fruits, organic produce, NC wines and honey; plus landscape, bedding and herb plants and fresh cut flowers; as well as bakery and preserved foods. You'll find one-of-a-kind arts and crafts: jewelry, stained & mosaic glass, fiber arts, baskets and more, all handmade by local artists and crafters. The second Wednesday of the month, the Pender County Master Gardeners are here to answer all your gardening questions. Come enjoy the open-air market on the front lawn of the plantation under the big shade trees with plenty of free parking. While you're there you can visit the farm animals, stroll the grounds, take a tour of the 1850 manor house or even take a walk down the Abbey Nature Preserve trails. Look for special activites taking place in conjuction with the Market several times during the season.
