Certified organic farm, growing produce, grain and legumes. The farm specializes in registered Vidalia onions, harvested in May, and organic onion seedling for transplanting December and January. Walker Farms also produces organic peanuts, for sale unshelled in three-pound bags. Gourmet and traditional southern produce -- from fingerling potatoes and fava beans to sweet corn and melons -- are available seasonally, primarily through local and regional food stores and restaurants. Walker Farms also grows soybeans, rye and millet for organic livestock feed or cover-crop seed.
