We started out on Holly Street in East Austin with a 30x50 foot "Backyard Garden." In 2006 we were fortunate enough to greatly expand (and give the kids plenty of room to play) with the purchase of a 20-acre tract located just five miles east of downtown Austin and in June 2009 we signed a contract for the purchase of an additional 40 acres fifteen miles east of downtown. In four short years, our CSA has grown from being the smallest in Austin with only 10 members to now being the largest CSA in Texas, with 800 members! Thank you, Austin!

Both of our certified organic vegetable farms are located on fertile river bottom land next to the Colorado River. At the turn of the century the farm and surrounding lands produced large quantities of spinach for local consumption in Austin as well as a local cannery. (more...)
