I don't have a greenhouse now, but hope to by the end of 2009 season. I also plan on raising chickens and a few pigs.
I will have a lot more vegtables this year, and more varieties. I will have Jacob's Cattle Beans and Vermont Cranberry beans. Many of my vegetables are heirloom.
I make Violet Jelly, out of Johnny Jump Up violets, which is a beautiful natural violet color with a great taste, mint jelly, and basil jelly. Basil jelly is great with pork roast. I also make hot pepper jelly. I make tomatillo salsa and have that fresh in season and also can it for later. I pickle hot peppers, jalapeno peppers, hot dilly beans, dilly snow peas, dill pickles, bread and butter pickles, pickle beets. I hope to make pineapple tomatillo perserves this year.
I will be selling a bag of mixed stir fry vegetables this Spring, as well as my wonderful
bags of mixed lettuce. Please come visit me if you are in the area. I will have a small farm stand open in May and will have lots of wonderful mixed lettuces and Asian vegetables, as well as all my other things in season.
