Call of the Wool is a family owned and run business located in northeastern Oregon and is the home of 39 Shetland sheep. Call of the Wool strives to preserve the variety of colors and fleece types found in the Shetland breed. Shetlands have lusciously soft fleeces with outstanding fleece length and luster. Shetlands are small in stature, easy to handle and perfect for families. They are sweet and friendly, coming up for attention and wiggling their tails in response to attention. As the owner of Call of the Wool, I do my own shearing, fleece washing, carding, spinning and create my own knit and crochet patterns to ensure that every creation is an original work of art. I sell prepared fleece, yarn, finished garments, pet/spinner's friends and breeding quality stock.
