Flora at Bluebird Farms

I am a specialty cutflower and produce grower in N central MS. I strive to use organic methods for pesticide control with my food crops. I am currently building my soils with cover crops so that fertilizer use will be minimized and eventually abandoned. I hope to develop my business over the next few years to be able to supply the freshest produce to local florists,individuals and restaurants. I am currently selling at the Memphis Farmers Market Sat.7-1 May - Oct. and at the Oxford MS Downtown Market Sat. 7-11 April-Sept.. . I grow heritage tomatoes, herbs,and most all summer fare with the imphasis on the unususal and rarely grown. I grow specialty greens and cold crops through the winter months.We have flocks of free ranged Buff Orpington, Weltsummer, Barred Rock, Blackstreak and Americauna chickens and too many Muscovy Ducks from whom we harvest eggs.
