Hixson Farms

They have built a cliental that include a health food store in Florida, and supply a couple of small restaurants. Mr. and Mrs. Hixson are eager to hear the suggestions of their customers, and if possible, integrate them into their planting plan.

The future plans for Hixson farms includes the construction of more hoop houses to extend the growing year. They have access to an other six acres they plan to plant next spring. Mrs. Hixson is working on including some canned goods such as pickled peppers and farm salsa. Mrs. Hixson is also making pottery which can be purchased at the Jackson's Farmers' Market and now at Artichoke. Artichoke is located at 1012 E. Fortification St. in Jackson. Artichoke sells art, soaps, candles, pottery, jewelry, an much more. All made in Mississippi. We are currentaly waiting the acceptance of our farm inspection, which was completed March 23, 2008, and hope that we will be able to post our Certified naturally grown certificate soon.

They are hoping to open a website and mail-order in the next few months.
