In 2007 Naomi Davis was instrumental in organizing and managing the City Market on the Green, a Sat. farmer's market in Macon open from April to Oct. The market is for local growers and crafts people. All items sold are locally grown or handmade. The market is located on Poplar Street in downtown Macon. Some of the items available include handmade breads, cakes, cookies, handmade goats milk soap, dog & cat treats, potted herbs, bulbs, annuals and perrenials, locally grown seasonal vegetables, hand made stuffed toys, stained glass, gift baskets, and more.
