We purchase only 24 calves each year so that we can provide them with lots of pasture, a clear stream to drink from, our neighbor's hay (no pesticides) and corn from our next door neighbor. The only other thing they eat is a handful of AS 700 feed for the first 10 days. This balanced feed was recommended by our vet . You can check the ingredients at Farm & Fleet. They are free to roam the property and they lead a very relaxed life in the country. We use no growth or other hormones and we do not use implants. They eat an antibiotic free diet. By mid November they are about 1,000 lbs. each. We sell by the quarter (half of a half so you get some of everything), half or whole. A quarter gives you about 110 lbs.
