The mission of Soil Born Farms Urban Agriculture and Education Project is to strengthen and support local food systems by educating youth and adults about food, nutrition, sustainable living and ecological farming; build relationships between farmers, consumers and educators; and contribute to food security in our Sacramento community.

We operate two certified organic farms - a one and a half acre market garden nestled among houses, apartments and a middle school in the Arden-Arcade area of Sacramento, and a 25 acre ranch along the American River in Rancho Cordova. Our produce is sold through a CSA program, a farm stand, urban produce stands, and to local restaurants and specialty markets. (more...)
