This yellow, two-story Victorian home is the last remaining example in National City of a farm house with a barn. Charles Stein purchased the property in 1900 shortly after he immigrated to the United States. The Community Development Commission purchased the farm in June 1992 and thankfully saved it from imminent destruction. It has been developed into a community and educational asset and welcomes school children and the public for a step back in time.
The Farm is open to the public on Saturdays from 10am-4pm. Admission is free, but donations are accepted, and your participation in farming and gardening activities is welcomed. Come visit the old farm house, orchard, gardens, bunnies, chickens, ducks, goose, Petunia the pot-bellied pig, and barns full of antique farming implements, vehicles, and equipment. We look forward to seeing you there!
