Fungi Farm is a 10 acre farm located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains at the base of Mount Hood outside Sandy, Oregon. Fungi Farm has been around since 2005 and we have continued to expanded our Shiitake log stock from a single strain to three unique strains. We are able to enjoy our mushrooms from spring thru early fall because each strain will produce at different times. These logs can be force fruited indoors or in your greenhouse for year round fruiting. Please allow a 4 week rest between fruitings. We also carry garden logs which must be kept out of direct sunlight and for the most part is not a problem in Oregon. Farm tours are available by appointment.

The Japanese call the Shiitake "The Elixer of Life". Our largest Shiitake to date came off our Grandpa Bog Log this past summer. It measured 7" across-come to our website and see for yourself. Shiitake grown on logs are a superior mushroom to those grown in sawdust. They are larger, thicker, generally darker in color and will stay fresh for weeks. Shiitake's can be eaten raw or cooked - great in salads or on the grill.
