Our farm, located just 20 miles south of Lansing, has successfully grown vegetables and flowers for over a decade. We are busy planting for our 2009 season and will be attending both the Allen Street and Meridian Farmer's Markets. We are excited about offering a variety of seedlings to our customers this spring, and ready to put our plants in the ground after the last frost date.
We have always gardened organically , but dropped our certification a few years back. We now label our produce "ecologically-grown." We are very sensitive to how we garden and its impact on the soil, wildlife, and the people we feed. We have never used commercial fertilizers, toxic pesticides/herbicides, and we use mostly hand tools. This practice is labor-intensive, yet very rewarding. We hope you think so too and come support us at the markets!

We will have heirloom tomato, cucumber, pepper, eggplant, and zucchini seedlings for sale this spring at our markets. We also will be selling our homegrown lettuce, spinach, and other greens. Remember us if you need that special flower bouquet: soon we will have irises and peonies, both beautiful and fragrant. My girls will be selling gourd birdhouses and 100% beeswax candles. Wow, what an awesome assortment!
