Weaver's Way Farm is a one acre urban farming project in Philadelphia. We grow a mixed variety of vegetables that are being sold at the Weaver's Way Coop Market in Mt. Airy. We are in our first year of major production and are exciting about turning a once wild parcel into a productive cornicopia.

The 2007 harvest season is well underway at Weavers Way's newly expanded Mort Brooks Memorial Organic Farm, located in Awbury Arboretum, in East Germantown. This is our sixth season farming and selling really local produce to Weavers Way members

Some products available at the store currently include: broccoli kohlrabi sorrel beets turnips carrots broccoli raab purple and white scallions

maybe even some early patty pan and summer squash towards the end of the month

and more of: bok choy lettuce mesclun and lettuce mix radishes

A Brief History of the Co-op Farm ... It started as a tribute to a longtime coop member, but has evolved into Weavers Way's contribution to a truly local food system.
