We have a heritage breed of CVM Romendale and Romney-Merino-Columbia cross sheep, grass fed broilers and MOFGA cerfified laying chickens.Organic eggs, fiber and broilers are sold at the farm. Eggs are also sold at the Front Street Deli in Richmond . Three minature donkeys help with predator control. A period garden circa mid 1700-1800 has been developed on the farm by Master Gardeners. Bridge Farm participates in Open Farm Days and is on the Maine Fiberarts Tour at stop # 64. We are looking for someone to assist in these aspects of the farm, possibly residing in the small apartment over the garage.
We welcome comments and suggestions from anyone in the area or beyond.

The Bridge Homestead Farm (est. 1789) is an historic 28-acre, riverfront property in Dresden, Maine, being returned to active farming. It is home to Lalibela Farm, a MOFGA-certified vegetable operation, owned and operated by the Berhanu family. Owners of the homestead, Bob Howe and Kathy Coleman, will be raising small livestock and operating a farm store on the property in 2008, and are currently working on the main house and other buildings, to reverse several years of 'deferred maintenance.'
