We raise pastured poultry on a large cattle farm in White Post, VA. Our Cornish Cross birds are raised in clean, bright, open-air brooders where we spread fresh sawdust bedding every day until they are ready for the great out doors, at which point they are sent out to pasture. From then on they are kept in movable, floorless pens where they have all the sunshine they want, protection from the elements, and access to forage. Their pens are moved once a day and twice daily when they get really big. They are fed a non-medicated grower ration feed in addition to the variety of grasses they love to munch.
