For more than 30 years, Rancho Borrego Negro has been "growing" unique and beautiful fiber and yarns from our natural colored sheep, llamas, and fiber goats. We sell fleece, roving, yarn and sheepskins in a variety of natural colors and in many combinations of natural fibers. Our "Woolllama" (wool blended with llama) roving and yarn is a favorite. We presently are raising four Wensleydale-cross lambs for freezer lamb. Available by reservation, they will be ready to butcher late summer or early fall. There is usually a good supply of various-colored sheepskins, tanned with a machine-washable tanning method. We use and recommend Kangal Dogs, Turkey's finest, as unequaled companions and livestock guardians. Custom spinning -- even dog or cat hair -- by prior arrangement.

Every animal has a name, every yarn has a story. Our farm is small, so every animal here has been raised with love and gentle understanding. We have a variety of breeds and colors, blended over the years to produce truly unique fiber: Columbia, Cotswold, Jacob, Lincoln, merino, rambouillet, Romney and Wensleydale sheep, among others, as well as Angora, Pygora, cashgora and cashmere goats.
