Back Forty Acres LLC is located in Sylvan Twp near Chelsea MI. Our family has been farming this land since 1864. We are proud to carry on the tradition. Currently we raise several types of animals, all with a pasture base in mind. All natural, no chemicals, humane and sustainable. This all makes for GOOD FOOD! We have broiler chickens, turkeys (white broad breasted along with heritage breeds) and ducks in movable pasture pens. Our lamb and meat goats are grass fed. Our rabbits are given a pellet ration along with forage. We breed Tamworth hogs (a heritage breed) for pork. Our laying hens are free range in the summer (cage free in winter) and produce exceptional brown & green eggs year round.
