..the list goes on and on! We have 5 greenhouses, 15 hoop-houses (which we grow our berries under), and 47 acres. We stress high quality produce and provide a good, living wage for our farm technicians.
Growing Washington is a non-profit organization who is working to "Unpave the way for a new generation of farmers." We operate 3 farms in total, Alm Hill Gardens, a Food Bank Farm (where all the produce grown goes directly to the Bellingham area food banks), and 21 Acres, an urban sustainable farm located in Woodinville, Wa. The programs that we operate include a Farm to School Program, a charity CSA called Just Food, a multiple farm CSA called the "Growing Whatcom CSA", a retail outlet called the "Local Food Exchange," and continuously work to help new farmers get their produce into new markets, such as schools, institutions, and restaurants. Feel free to visit our website to learn more about us.
