Elk Creek Alpacas is a family run farm located on 5 acres in the rolling hills of Kentucky and the home of seven happy healthy Huacaya alpacas. We specialize in True Black alpacas with very soft and fine fiber. But we also have a beautiful Medium Brown girl and a great big Medium Fawn Herdsire whose fleece is actually closer to white. We have raw, unskirted, unwashed fleece as well as hand carded fleece that is ready for spinning, felting or use in your favorite craft project.

Called the Fiber of the Gods in the South American countries where the alpaca originated. Alpaca fiber has been treasured for thousands of years. In ancient Andean societies the fiber of alpacas was so valued that it was reserved for royalty. Today, alpaca fiber is recognized around the world for its unique characteristics and luxurious qualities.
We are blessed to be able to enjoy luxurious garments made of alpaca
even if we are mere mortals.
