Quail Run Ranch raises grass-fed lamb in Tumalo, just outside of Bend, OR. We do not use hormones, antiobiotics or any other bad stuff on our animals. We specialize in Painted Desert Sheep, a hair sheep breed that is renowned for its lean, flavorful meat. We butcher at a USDA plant in Prineville and sell at the Bend Farmer's Market. You can buy small individual packages of lamb; cuts include legs (bone-in or boneless), shanks, chunks for kebobs or stew (cut from the shoulder), racks, chops and ground. Lamb neck bones and organs are also available for dog food. Or you can purchase a whole or half lamb, already butchered, for a reduced price. Pickup at the ranch is required during the winter; call to order lamb to be picked up at the Bend Farmer's Market June-October. (more...)
