Diversity is the key to success of this CSA. We plant hundreds of varieties of vegetables, herbs and flowers. Whatever the wacky weather, some plants thrive and provide the bounty. The deer are less forgiving, and that's why we are putting up an 8-foot fence. Periodic newsletters chronicle the saga. Food tastes better that has a familiar story.
We bought the farm in December 2007, so 2009 is the second growing season for us on our own farm. At 28 years of age, we are embarking on a lifelong process with this place and community. We are grateful for tremendously supportive neighbors, friends, and co-operators.
