Happy Tortoise Farm is certified organic by Washington Tilth Association and the Washington State Dept of Agriculture. We go beyond organic by implemented biodynamic and permaculture practices and adhering to strict no-spray rules even for so-called 'organic' pesticides and herbicides. We offer summer/fall shares from May-November and this year WINTER/SPRING SHARES from November-April, for a four season harvest of a wide variety of vegetables. We cultivate over forty different crops even during winter which include: Beets, Chard, Carrots, Celery, Dandelion, Escarole, Leeks, Mustard Greens, Onions, Arugula, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Chicory, Claytonia, Endive, Kale, Kohlrabi, Lettuce, Mache, Pak Choi, Parsley, Parsnip, Radicchio, Radish, Sorrel, Spinach, Turnip, Salsify, Scorzonera, Purslane, Collards, Fava Beans, Cabbage, Watercress, Rutabega, Sylvetta, Cauliflower, Chinese Cabbage, Orach, Daikon, Garlic Scapes
