Welcome to the Fall season here at Indigo Farms! It is an incredible busy time for us. We are preparing the land for winter produce and next years strawberries. In all that preparation, is our field grown holiday strawberries for November and December. September is when most of our grape juice is made. Fresh apple cider follows that into October. Fall tours start in October and night time hay rides begin as well. Fall is no time to forget produce from the farm either. Many years we have some very good crops of field peas, beans, peppers and tomatoes. We also have figs that continue into Late September and sometimes into October. Persimmons and chestnuts follow that. Greens , lettuce, cool season crops grow into the winter months. M (more...)
