Growing Power

Growing Power is a nationwide not for profit organization and land trust supporting people from diverse backgrounds and the environments they live in through the development of community food systems. Its model program, the Growing Power Community Food Center, is located on the last remaining farm in the city of Milwaukee. Demonstrating urban agriculture in action, it features five greenhouses sheltering exhibits in vermiculture, aquaculture, aquaponics, hydroponics, horticulture and much more. Chickens, goats and bees complement permaculture and market garden demonstrations outside.

Community food system training, farm tours, internships, and weekly purchase of affordable fresh food available.
