We have gardened together for 25 years and Dale grew up on a grain and dairy farm near Jackson, Michigan.
Our vegetable and flower market garden was about four acres this last season. No synthetic fertilizers or pesticides have been used on our land since 1994. We use cover crops, natural minerals, and compost to improve the soil.
Our pastured chickens are fed no antibiotics or hormones and are allowed to eat unlimited amounts of fresh grass and clover. We feel this diet makes a tastier chicken and a healthier fat content. The chickens are provided whole and frozen at about 4 to 5 lbs., $2.90/lb. Eggs from grass-fed layers are also available.
