Our concern for our community, and soil and water resources provides the framework for our family business. Having made the commitment to continue using the land for food production by enrolling more than 500 acres into Michigan's Purchase of Development Rights program, the Leach family raises hydroponic tomatoes, salad greens and herbs. Produce from the greenhouses and the market garden are sold to a limited number of area groceries, restaurants, through our Share of the Farm CSA and at The Battle Creek, Bellevue and Kalamazoo Farmer's Markets. Residents of the Kalamazoo, Battle Creek and Marshall areas, as well as surrounding communities, can purchase seasonal "Share of the Farm" home/office delivery subscriptions featuring fruits and vegetable products grown in Michigan. "Share of the Farm" Subscription Delivery Service, offering seasonal selections from our market garden and greenhouses. We also regularly include products from our other farmer friends, like dark sweet cherries from Michigan's Old Mission Peninsula, Honey Crisp apples and strawberries from the Hartford area, and potatoes, carrots and onions from the Zeeland and Holland areas to name a few.
