TANSTAAFL Farmstead is a family farm localed on the bottom lands of the Paw Paw River in SW Michigan. We are a diversified operation with pastured goats and sheep, vegetables in season, and honey and bee supplies. Products from the hive are our speciality. We have raw, unfiltered local wildflower honey. In our quest to avoid chemical medications in the hive, we raise queen bees to rebuild the hives that we lose to mites. As a result we have five frame nucs available for sale starting in late spring and continuing into the fall. These are localy raised bees and not southern imports. We will take time to answer questions that new beekeepers may have concerning getting started in beekeeping. We adhere to an ideal of simple living and as such we have no phone; so you must contact us by snail mail or email which we go to the library to access.
