23 acres located at 3,800' elevation in southern AZ. Rolling Mesquite/grass covered hills ideally suited for rain water catchment. Primary crop is subtropical bamboo with apricot, almond, fig, kumquat, nopal and heirloom vegetables all grown in rainwater catchments. We also wild craft and are a commercial mill for native mesquite pods. We can also mill your corn and other grains. Bamboo is grown as a sustainable building alternative to wood and as a basis for cottage craft industry. Farm house is passive solar cob/bamboo design. Ongoing cob/bamboo building projects. Workshops, tours and internships available.

naturally grown

We are already sold out of apricots and figs for this year. Home made mesquite butter, salsa, pickles, bean dip and ketchup, all made with products from the farm, along with our heirloom vegetables grown from Native Seed Search seed stock, are hot sellers at the new Arivaca Farmers Market on Saturdays from 8 to 12. Now is the time to be picking mesquite pods. Bring your commercial quantity of mesquite pods to us. We'll mill them on a percentage basis. Infrastructure buldings made of cob and bamboo are under construction, rain water catchments are always underway, large scale composting and farming chores are ongoing; all offer excellent opportunities for education through tours and internships. Workshops will be on the agenda soon. Tours and internships can be scheduled year 'round.
