Ames Farm Single Source Honey is honey collected in one geographical location, from one hive and during a specific time period. We try and capture the floral image honeybees create of a time and place. We collect honey in 18 locations around Minnesota.
Each jar label notes the bee yard it was collected in, the hive number and floral source. The jar can be cross referenced in our online data base.
In addition to our Single Source Honey we produce comb honey, bee pollen and 20 varieites of fresh apples, dried apples, beeswax candles and propolis.
We utilize Intergrated Pest Management (IPM) practices in the management of our fruit trees and bees. This provides enough protection to support the healthy growth of the apples and bees while at the same time protecting the final product for consumption.
