The home 80 acres at Grassfields has been farmed by our family since 1882. It has been a sustainable dairy since the early 1900s. In 1992 we became intensively rotational grazers as well. The next year we began milking only seasonally to encourage birth and grass cycles to compliment each other. We added grass-fed chickens to our operation, available direct, with eggs and turkeys soon to follow. In 2002 we began making and later selling raw milk Gouda and other types of cheese from our own cows' milk. We offer all-natural, raw-milk cheeses: Cheddar, Edam, Leyden (with caraway), Gouda, Onion 'N Garlic (Gouda with character), and Country Dill; which we make from our own pastured cows; as well as naturally pastured beef, pork, chicken, brown eggs, turkey, and lamb.
