Our mission: To provide safe, continuous summer-long berries grown here for U-Pick locavores. We start the season with our fresh-picked asparagus, available usually beginning late April through mid-June, picked by us early each morning, carefully weighed into new plastic bags each with one pound net weight of asparagus, refrigerated and sold directly to the public at Crows Nest Greenhouses and at the Blacksburg Farmers Market on Wed. and Sat. mornings, 8AM, usually sold out by 10 AM. In summer months from late June through early October, we have a succession of U-Pick berry crops: blueberries began June 20 and usually pick until early August. U-Pick blackberries began picking last summer on Thursday, July 19 and continued through much of September. (more...)
