Round River is a small organic farm that operates as a CSA (community supported agriculture) enterprise. Located in the midlands of South Carolina, the farm includes stands of hardwoods to promote the biodiversity of the area, including insect-eating birds and bats. The farm also includes pasture for our draft horses, who supply an abundance of compost for the garden. Further, it is our intent to use draft horse power as much as possible.
We produce a wide variety of vegetables and herbs. We sell shares of our annual produce contractually, to one time buyers, and any arrangement in between. Our harvest season typically runs for approximately 24 weeks, starting in May. We offer a summer internship and student interns provide most of the labor.
