feed the forest pigs locally-grown corn everyday. All our animals are 'free range,' and not confined. We give our animals no hormones, steroids, antibiotics, or anything else unnatural. We would only give our animals antibiotics if they were in an acute situation where such medication was necessary to save their life.
We do supplement our animals' diets with salt, kelp, and food grade diatomaceous earth (a natural substance derived from a single-celled marine organism which helps control parasites). We have found that these three additions to our animal's diets discourage most ailments common to farms today. While we are not certified organic, our land has had no pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers applied for the last ten years.
We also sell family milk cows. We raise Jersey cows and sell young, unbred heifers, bred heifers, and milking cows. We normally have several of these milk cows for sale.
