WHAT IS A CSA? A system in which consumers support a local farm by paying in advance for agricultural products. The costs are covered in advance by consumers & throughout the growing season members recieve a portion of the farm's harvests, sharing the risks and bounties of the harvest. WHAT IS A FOOD CO-OP? A collectively owned grocery outlet, most frequently, focuses on making natural, whole & clean foods affordable. In a private food co-op, only members may shop at the outlet.
