Your order is hand-packed using environmentally friendly, ecologically safe, reusable, recycleable & biodegradeable materials, and packaged to withstand unrefrigerated shipping.
ABOUT OUR FARM MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM: This is a private "members" farm, We are your personal, private farmers. We are responsible for brooding the chicks, growing the pasture, the daily feeding and watering, cleaning of ranges and coops, collecting, inspecting and packaging eggs, livestock protection, etc. Everything it takes to put a nutritious, flavor packed meal on your table.
WHAT ARE FARM MEMBERS: Members are actual livestock share holders, as a collective group you own portions of the food produced. By purchasing ahead and in 3 month installments. This provides the capital necessary to breed or purchase livestock, brood, feed, clean, manage and provide all necessary supplies. In exchange, members receive harvested poultry, milk and eggs.
The goal of Rainbow Ranch Farms member shares program is not only to provide delicious, natural locally-raised food, but also to work toward self sustainable farming practices and preserving old fashioned American farming traditions and endangered Heritage Breed livestock, including Chickens, Turkeys, Goats and Pigs. In addition we encourage the preservation of heirloom seeds and locally grown foods without the use of pesticides, genetically modified organisms, herbicides, or hormones. Our honey bees do all the pollinating, and we save bees from extermination, by collecting unwanted swarms within our local community.
We are Certified Naturally Grown and members in good standing with the California Poultry Federation - we participate in the CA-GROWN program, our poultry is U.S.D.A.(e-PL90-492) and the farm is registered with the U.S.D.A. F.S.A. and certified biosecure by the California Department of Food and Agriculture. The goats are all certified by both the county and the state with a clean bill of health.

ABOUT FARM VISITORS:
We are certified biosecure, under these USDA/CDFA health and safety guidelines we are not permitted visitors on our farm for reasons of possible cross-contamination etc.. We do however host an annual harvest festival BBQ farm members fun day, here at the farm. Please keep checking our calendar for our spring or summer members only harvest festival. We also post wonderful photos of our farm online.
