Fatman's Beef Jerky is a family owned and operated business. Rick and Ellen Robey started this business to make available a gourmet, specialty jerky made from all natural ingredients with no preservatives. They use all locally grown chiles-Green, Red, Jalapeño, and Chipotle-in their flavorful homemade recipes. It is because of these tasty chiles that Fatman's jerky has become so well known.
The green chile is bought from a four generation local farm-Graves Farm and Garden. Fatman's Beef Jerky also sells these green chiles along with the red by the bushel. The green chiles are roasted and frozen each season with mild, medium, hot, extra hot, extra extra hot, and the famous "Big Jim" varieties of heat flavor. The red chiles are dried in a bushel bag with mild, medium, hot, and extra hot available.
