65 days. Open polinated.
Long, thin, deep purple fruits are mild and have a thin skin that does not require peeling. Early to produce and easy to grow, we recomend this eggplant for northern gardeners. Also does very well for us in the hot, humid Ozarks. This variety is productive and is perfect for grilling and stir fries. Fruits can get quite large, but harvest young for the most tenderness. Produces over a long season. Provide support as the heavy load of fruits can pull the plant over.
Germinated at 84%.
|Lifecycle:||1 (0: N/A, 1: annual, 2: perennial, 3: biennial)|
|Soil:||Adaptable. Eggplant need a good nitrogen source to grow their big leaves and fruits. A high quality compost and some alfalfa meal or pellets will keep them going.|
|Propagation / Germination:||Start seed indoors 6 to 7 weeks before last frost. 85 degrees is optimal, but anyhting between 75 and 90 degrees will work okay. Keep soil lightly moist, not wet.|
|Water:||Water weekly if necessary. Mulch when soil is thoroughly warmed.|

We produce all of our own seed, unlike most seed sellers. We never purchase bulk seeds and repackage them. You can be sure that you are getting top quality, healthy, and vigorous seeds from us, and that they were produced by us on our small farm in healthy soil.
We are licensed by the State of Missouri Department of Agriculture to sell plants (license #1931) and seed (license #149045) produced by us. We exceed the Federal minimum germination standards and post our germination test results with each variety.
