Fernbrook Farm CSA

Hello and welcome to Fernbrook Farm CSA! We are located on the grounds of Fernbrook Farms - a 300 acre family-owned and operated farm featuring a wholesale tree nursery, historic bed and breakfast and education center in addition to the CSA. The farm is located in Chesterfield, NJ about 10 miles south of Trenton. Our distribution season runs from early June up to Thanksgiving. We offer a lot of fresh, healthy produce ranging from the standards like lettuce, peas, tomatoes, broccoli and melons to some veggies not as well-known but oh-so-good like delicious chinese cabbage, tasty heirloom tomatoes (the best in town!) and savory delicata squash! We also offer pasture-raised pork in the fall. We farm using only organically approved standards (although we are not certified organic). Our farm shop operates not only as our CSA distribution point, but also as a center of our community! We offer many house-made food items, baked goods, organic/sustainable local products, and even our own cookbook! Our members are free to post local events and happenings on our Community Cork board. We also feature biweekly special events, dinners and cooking classes at the farm, making Fernbrook an inviting place for you and your family. We are a teaching farm, not only with the Environmental Education Center, but also for future farmers, through our apprenticeship program. Our enthusiastic staff is rounded out with eager volunteers, and we always invite more to join! If you are interested in joining the CSA as a member, volunteer, or simply want to come and check out our shop, visit our Facebook page for events and notifications, or drop us an email. We'll see you in the field!

2014 was our first year trying a CSA and we couldn't have been happier with Fernbrook. Everyone on site was helpful and friendly, our share was VERY plentiful and the kids loved going to pick veggies.

We are a family of 5 who eat lots of produce and have done the math: we spend less on organic produce at Fernbrook CSA than we would on non-organic produce at the grocery store.... [more]
