Steeped in history, the fig is a favorite fruit of Big Island chefs so a few years ago we put in a number of new trees to keep the chefs happy. Those trees are now producing enough so that we can offer jellies and other fig products on LocalHarvest.
Choose from two types, brown turkey fig jam or white kadota fig jam. The kadota is a little sweeter and good as a dessert toping as well as jam.
Stewed figs are made with home grown cinnamon and Maui gold sugar.
