This is my third year on Local Harvest. I am currently building a curriculum for tours and workshops about organic gardening with an emphasis on empowering others to grow some of their own food. I want kids to learn where their food comes from and how they can do it too! We have a variety of chickens, ducks and geese. We practice the 3 R's (reduce, reuse and recycle) on the farm and I am excited about the projects that we have done this year. We are practicing organic farming techniques, edible landscaping and other natural ways of working the farm. The chickens are currently preparing next year's vegetable area and we will soon be planting the area they "tilled" for this year's crop of corn, okra, squash, watermelons and peanuts. Email me for directons!
