Hardin' River Mercantile was founded in 2004 by a group of small farmers, with major support from Armstrong Beefalo, Grass Root Meats, Adama Farms, Hardin Farms, and Arkansas Natural Produce. We are a year-round market with over 20 local farmers, ranchers and producers supplying our Mercantile at the Little Rock River Market. In Nov. 2007 we temporarily closed our River Market farmstand, while building a new, independent local food coop in Argenta, and expanding our CSA program into other communities of Arkansas. Our CSA program is wildly succesful and still growing as we recently introduced our neighborhood pickup plan, which makes getting your local food much more conveneient. Visit our new website: www.

We offer a direct link to some of Arkansas finest small scale, sustainable farmers through our CSA programs; and delivered to your central Arkansas community pickup locations. You can contact us at anytime by email, or visit our new website at www.arkansasfood.net. Our new store hours will be announced later in the Spring. We sell local food to local people. You can join at any time by purchasing a $180 subscription, which entitles you to 3 monthly local food baskets each valued at $60, and our monthly local food newsletter.
