Food Works at Two Rivers Center is a 501 c 3 non profit with a mission to prevent hunger through promotion of small, Vermont family farm activities, various sustainable agriculture activities, food and nutrition education programs and other programs and advocacy linked to promotion of local foods and anti-hunger.
We run a farm exclusively dedicated to producing local foods that are distributed to needy populations, food shelves, soup kitchens, senior meals sites and more to provide the underserved with fresh, locally grown foods. We provide local farmers with new market opportunities including schools, hospitals, mental health facilities and more. Our summer camps provide a safety net for low-income children during vacation periods when schoool meals programs are unavailable. We teach gardening and nutrition at several low-income housing sites such that at-risk families learn to feed, nourish and sustain themselves; these programs bring locally grown foods from seed to table. More programming and activities of our organization can be found at www.tworiverscenter.org Thank you for your consideration!
