Looking for farm work    (Posted Sat, Dec 15 '12 at 03:25 UTC)

Hello everyone,

I live in Canton Georgia and I'm searching for work on a farm or an apprenticeship and I'm willing to travel. I worked for the last five years in archaeology, and after a while I realized I fell in love with excavating the earth, and working hard not the stuffy academic side. What I'm looking for is to gain experience so someday I could have my own organic farm. Please contact me either at 404-565-6595 or Ryanwebb123@gmail.com.

Thanks a lot,
Ryan Webb

Ryan, I wish we had living quarters so we could hire you as you would have a ball with us. We got into farming pretty much the same way-digging lots of test pits and units as contract archaeologists before falling in love and becoming sustainable small farmers.

And we bought a farm with a lot of archaeological features on it (though most are still theories and need investigation)

Good luck finding a great farm to work on
